A Cybernetic Terminal module Number (CTN for short) is an all-purpose regulatory clone of a human being, mostly of a fighter pilot.
In Thunder Force V, CTN pilots are the result of the Circulate-Death program, which faithfully preserves the memory and consciousness of a pilot and bundles it on the clone based on the deceased pilot.
Cloning a pilot is considered a high honor due to the elevated amount of resources required for the cloning process. Like Circulate-Death, CTN's are also a product of Vasteel Technology.
Disadvantages of CTN clones

Being the solid memory and some biological characteristics which were useless on battle. The CTNS program removed these characteristics tagged as "Noise" and strengthten the combat aspects of the pilot, only leaving the person's name as the only memory of a past self.
