Segagaga (セガガガ) is a 2001 RPG simulation game Described as a "Sega simulation", the player takes control of Sega Tarō, who must help save a struggling Sega from losing the console market to its rival DOGMA, who owns 97%. The producer is Okano Tez(岡野哲), same with Thunder Force VI. Gameplay involves battling employees and other characters throughout various Sega development studios, some being taken from older Sega game franchises. It features many tongue-in-cheek references to Sega and the video game industry, particulary Sony and the PlayStation 2.

Syrinx in the shooter stage of Segagaga.
Towards the end of the game, Tarō pilots a starship known as the "R-720", a nod to the R-360 arcade cabinet, into outer space that features a shoot'em up level reminiscent of Thunder Force. Tarō will fight various mechs designed after older Sega game consoles, such as the Sega Genesis and Master System. The player can select an original ship or the Syrinx, based on its cancelled Dreamcast Thunder Force VI's Fire LEO-5P design with its RVR-01-like colors. Main BGM of this part is Steel Squad, that is a sequel of Metal Squad of Thunder Force IV and composed by Yamanishi Toshiharu and boss BGM is The Justice Ray part 3, that is sequel of The Justice Ray part 2 of Thunder Force V and composed by Tsukumo Hyakutaro. Its weapons are based on Fire LEO-02's weaponry in Thunder Force II, with a couple of changes (Normal is based on Twin Shot, Laser acts more like the Gradius Laser & Thunder Force V Sword when charged, Homing is based on Hunter & Mega Flash).
